This is a five-a-side indoor football game that is played with many of the rules associated with the eleven-a-side game.
It is recognised by F.I.F.A. and U.E.F.A. whereas the traditional five-a-side game is not.
The S.F.A. is taking steps to develop the sport in Scotland and Ideal Leisure helping. Ideal Leisure are looking for teams to take part local leagues that will form part of a National Futsal League.
Players playing in this league may go on to represent Scotland in the Futsal World and European Championships.
